According to UConn Today, A Public Research University, In UConn’s Music Dynamics Lab in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, psychology professor Edward Large and his research team are exploring how music communicates emotion inside the brain. “Our hypothesis is that music, because of its unique structure, oscillations, rhythm, and tempo, is somehow able to directly couple into these oscillating neural systems that are responsible for emotion,” Large says.

It is acceptable to most of scientists and researchers that music is the best treatment our body can have, it often relates to us and somehow represent us of who we are, where we came from, what do we stand for, what do we feel, it always refers to love, sadness, happiness, joy, praise, depression, story and many others.
Music is an unbreakable ground to most people, ever since the beginning, we use music to our lives, of course, we Filipinos won’t back down to that, we have traditional music many great hits that we’re called OPM or Original Pinoy Music that was really popular from the 60’s until today, OPM became broad than just music that you hear from the disco and to the High School Dance Ball, trust me, it was MORE than that.
Because of the ever-growing popularity of OPM it was loved until today, it was used at TeleSeryes (Drama in Television), it was used at many singing competitions, local, national or Network-promotional, and of course through the years, Music has evolved a little bit, the Rap Industry and/or Hip-hop Industry came in and many trends came after that, it was really supported by many young Filipinos.
According to Wikipedia,” The Philippines is known to have had the first hip-hop music scene in Asia since the early 1980s, largely due to the country's historical connections with the United States where hip-hop originated. Francis M and Andrew E are cited as the most influential rappers in the country, being the first to release mainstream rap albums.”

Because of its popularity, Pinoy Hiphop became widespread and became a trend and still evolves until today, that is where Fliptop was made, According to Wikipedia, “The influence of the original rap battle leagues in the West – Grind Time Now, King of the Dot and Don't Flop – all founded in 2008, inspired the creation of other battle leagues around the world, FlipTop being one of them, in 2010. This local rap battle competition typically involves both parties (either 2 rappers or 2 duos) hailing mudslinging words and rhymes at each other, who are then judged at the end based on a number of factors including flow and use of insults/punchlines and audience impact.”
But why did i include this stuff you ask, well because until today, Pinoy Hiphop evolves itself and contributes more to the society especially music, like Breezy Music which has YouTube views that has thousands to millions of views, and if you go to some areas in the country, you will much likely hear some of it.
I remembered when I was in Grade 9 (2015) because of Breezy Music, I had many friends thinking that I was cool and too Breezy (duh) at that time, maybe it was because of the feeling when you hear some of this back at the time, it really represents you to the point that you can be loved to have friends when you listen to it because it was the trend back then.
Pinoy Hiphop is not just an event or a happening that just passes in Philippine Music History Books, it is a powerhouse, it is a symbol of the progressive and trendy youth we have today, no matter what lyric would be on the sheet of paper, what melody will be in the sheet, and how will it be sang, this is Hip-hop and it may not last forever, but it will stay in the hearts of the Filipino youth.
P.S sorry for the long absence, expect for more in the future! ^^
