5 Pros and Cons of living with a Dog

As a dog lover, I am forever committed to love dogs for all my life, they are caring, they are always there for you, and they were honored as being called man’s best friend but it is not always easy to live with here are top 5 pros and cons of living with a dog:

PROS

5. They will guard you and your belongings- no matter what kind of breed of a dog you have in your house, they still have the instinct to know who are the bad guys and the good guys, they can sense if a bad person just wanted to steal your belongings or maybe he’s just not comfortable with it, Dr. Karen B. London Ph.D. made this point in her article in the website called thebark.com, “If your dog doesn't like someone you probably shouldn't either”.

4.They can amuse you when you are feeling down- did you just had a breakdown from your past relationship? is life beating you and pulling you down? We’re you fired from your job or whatever, but your best friend is busy with his/her studies and focuses more on her relationship so you have no one to talk with? Well, then you should have a Dog at your side, not only that they are more caring than other animals but they know how to make you smile once again. According to dognotebook.com, “When you feel sad, your dog will immediately pick up on this and adjust his behavior accordingly. He may become more subdued than usual, lose interest in his toys and even refuse his food. Usually, your dog will quietly observe you from a corner of the room. After a while, he may come over and lie down at your feet or gently rest his head in your lap. Many dogs will even try to lick away tears as they fall. A dog’s master is the center of his entire world, so sensing your feelings of sadness will have an effect on him too.”

3. They can help you to have a more active social life- Dogs are very active to its kind, very energetic and very friendly, mentalfloss.com proves it to its site and it says, “Polls show people trust others who have dogs more than just random people walking on the street and are more likely to go up and interact with them. Even if you live alone, having a dog has the same emotional benefit as that of a human friendship.”

2. They can detect if you are sick or if you have cancer- it is scientifically approved that dogs really do can sense if you are sick or if you have cancer, you’ll get my point when in the movies their owner have cancer but they still won’t let go off guard of their owner because they still hope that you’ll get fine soon, according to livescience.com, “Scientific reports of dogs sniffing out cancerous growths go back at least two decades. According to a 1989 case study in The Lancet, a patient reported that her dog would constantly sniff at a mole on her leg, and once even tried to bite the lesion off. Prompted by this, she had her mole checked out and found it to be a malignant melanoma.”

CONS

5. FECES AND PEE EVERYWHERE!!!- This is basically a problem to all beginners of living with a dog, but they may usually do this (Pooping and peeing INSIDE the house) while they were still a pup but when time comes, when disciplined the right way, they may follow your command and stop what they’re doing.

4. They can be pretty annoying- sometimes a Dog can be over-excited or be super-energetic when they get used to it, they may annoy you when doing your homework or job at home, but just entertain them and just give them the attention they wanted then they will behave over time.

3. Barking at nothing- dogs use barking as a communication to us and to other dogs but if you were annoyed because you think they bark at nothing at night when you are sleeping, or at day when you are relaxed but they ruin the momentum of relaxation, it is because of their hearing (because their hearing is more powerful than hearing of humans), according to Quora.com, “Dogs bark for a variety of reasons. They may be barking 'at' something or barking to demand something, or because they are anxious, bored or lonely. It is not only things they smell that can cause them to bark, but their hearing is much better than ours as well.”

2.    Time Commitment- I mean, of course, your dog needed attention every day, maybe a pat on its head will do so it may think that you care for it, according to pethelpful.com, “A dog is not happy if he doesn’t have daily exercise and can only do his business in the backyard or at the street corner. That is why it is harder to have a dog, especially a big one, inside the city. Dogs need to run, enjoy their freedom, and use their noses in natural surroundings. So if you don’t live close to a park, forest, or another green area, you should consider not getting a dog.”

1.    Cost- Higher quality of dogs means higher cost of money that you will get off your wallet (for its food too), it is problematic and some think that it is a waste of money and time, but why think that way if it's only temporary, and don’t worry all about it, to all your problems in life, your dog will always be there for you, for better and for worst.
